SWF security Issues

Aug 17, 2010 8:58 PM

Hi Folks...

I have this fully functiong flash app with that runs on the Flas Media Server. When I open of the FLA files and do a

'Control + Enter' and SWF starts running which works fine. However if I were to go into the folder that contains the

FLA and double click on the SWF file, I am getting an 'Adobe Flash Security' error message telling me that Flash has

stopped a potentiall unsafe opearation. What I don't understand is why am I getting this error when I am running the

SWF directly and not when I do a 'Control + Enter'on the FLA since it's the same SWF that eventually runs.

Flash player does not allow an application running in a desktop directly connect with any other host. But in IDE you can connect.

This is only for when  we plying the swf by  double click on the SWF file. You can allow this by doing some settings by clicking on the settings button of the errorpopup. This will direct you to adobe's site there you can allow permission for an individual swf or for a folder in your machine.
