Another Bridge starting problem

I too have a problem with starting bridge. Once I have attempted to open / start the program I get the following messge:

Adobe bridge has stoopped working, and then I have two choices check online for a solution or close the program

When I choose to check online nothing at all happens. If I expand the error message it tellms me this:

I have contacted Adobe and they are looking into it, AND HAVE BEEN for two weeks now.

You may have a hidden instance of Bridge running in the background. Check in Task Manager > Processes.

And make sure Bridge is not set to start automatically in PS, Edit > Preferences > General.

Thanks But I had seen that elsewhere and had tried that before making the post. So no there is nothing running in task manager that has anything to do with any adobe products, least of Bridge. By the way Bridge CS 3 worked fine, but it has now been un installed

Did you also see and try the recommendation to reset Bridge preferences by holding down Ctrl as you click to start Bridge, and accepting the items in the resulting dialog?
