Another Bridge starting problem

I too have a problem with starting bridge. Once I have attempted to open / start the program I get the following messge:

Adobe bridge has stoopped working, and then I have two choices check online for a solution or close the program

When I choose to check online nothing at all happens. If I expand the error message it tellms me this:

I have contacted Adobe and they are looking into it, AND HAVE BEEN for two weeks now.

 

Any ideas gratefully accepted.

    You may have a hidden instance of Bridge running in the background.  Check in Task Manager > Processes.


    And make sure Bridge is not set to start automatically in PS,  Edit > Preferences > General.

    Did you also see and try the recommendation to reset Bridge preferences by holding down Ctrl as you click to start Bridge, and accepting the items in the resulting dialog?
