License Question with new Computers

Oct 21, 2010 11:01 AM

At my current workplace another employee has been using Adobe Creative Suite 2 for quite some time. We just have one Serial Number with it. She told me that she installed it on her home computer and her old labtop and current one.

My question is that I know each license can be put on 2 computers, however if we get a new computer and want to use the suite on that new computer do we have to do anything special about the old computers because we installed on those?

Also what happens if both computers are using Adobe cs2 at the same time. Would that cause any issues?

Thanks

Yes, you can definitely move Adobe software between computers... On the old computer, the most important thing to do is deactivate the license (usually Help > Deactivate), before running the software on the new computer.

I sold my old laptop after removing all programs and files. But I did not know I had to deactivate my Dreamweaver Cs$. How can I solve this issue, I cannot install it in my new computer. Cause it says is already on two, and I don't even have it anymore.

The only people who can help you with that is Adobe Customer Service...  Contact them (there's a link at the bottom of this page) and explain what happened, and hopefully they can deactivate the software from their end.
