cannot check boxes in Global Storage Settings

Oct 25, 2010 11:19 PM

When I go to the Global Storage Settings panel online I am unable to check the box "Allow third party Flash content to store data on your computer"

Because of this I can not use many Websites that require flash. I can use youtube and hulu, but not pandora or tv websites like comedy central.

I have the latest version of Flash, and this happens in any Web browser (Safari, Firefox, Chrome) that I try. I am on MAC OS X.

Any help please!

Unfortunately there are no regular Mac experts here on the forum.

On Windows, this problem can be resolved by deleting the folders where these settings are kept (%APPDATA%\Adobe\Flash Player and %APPDATA%\Macromedia\Flash Player).

I have no idea where these things are kept on a Mac; perhaps the Admin Guide can tell you http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/flash_player_admin_gu ide.html

Thank you for the feedback, and posting the Mac location of that folder/directory; it may help another user with the same situation in the future.
