When I go to the Global Storage Settings panel online I am unable to check the box "Allow third party Flash content to store data on your computer"
Because of this I can not use many Websites that require flash. I can use youtube and hulu, but not pandora or tv websites like comedy central.
I have the latest version of Flash, and this happens in any Web browser (Safari, Firefox, Chrome) that I try. I am on MAC OS X.
Any help please!
Unfortunately there are no regular Mac experts here on the forum.
On Windows, this problem can be resolved by deleting the folders where these settings are kept (%APPDATA%\Adobe\Flash Player and %APPDATA%\Macromedia\Flash Player).
I have no idea where these things are kept on a Mac; perhaps the Admin Guide can tell you http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/flash_player_admin_gu ide.html
Thanks! I was able to find the solution by browsing other discussions. It's basically the Mac equivalent to what you mentioned. For Macs the folders are located in:
Library/Caches/Adobe and Library/Preferences/Macromedia
I trashed the Flash Player folders in both those places and now all the Websites I was having problems with are working. Funny I never even had to go back to the Global Storage Settings and check the "allow third party..." box.
Thanks to all the older posts on this issue! I have had this problem for over a year and am sooo happy to have fixed it!
