Why is it that when i take my images from photoshop and save them for the web, that when i open them in my dreamweaver html file they have lost quality and saturation in the image?
its RGB both before and after i finish with it...should i open bridge and try to see whats happening? the same happens if i take an image into flash...would it help saving it as something else like a bitmap or something?
Dreamweaver isn't color managed. If you haven't converted the images to your display profile, they will look different.
But we're talking about the web, so you probably want to convert them to sRGB, and understand that they WILL look different for everybody.
sRGB as that might be happening as well but why not make a copy as sRGB and save it as a photoshop file and then place it as a smart object in Dreamweaver do all your sizing and reuse there. You might get better reslts that way.

Bear in mind that the sRGB color profile that has been mentioned is different from the RGB color mode you use within Photoshop.
There are 2 ways to do it correctly one is better then the other. The best way to bring an image into
DW is to first create a layer based sliced and the copy & paste it direc
tly into DW. When you do that you will get a Image optimize window, this is a built-in Firework image
optimizer it does a much better job a maintaing quality will compressing image size. The second optioin is to use the save to web feature. Tehy work the same DW/FW does it better. If your image quality still is not what you want play around with your optimization settings without seeein the image I can't recommend the best setting but play around in your 2up/4up window.
