Displaying ComboBox over a PDF content

Oct 20, 2010 9:49 AM

Does anyone have a work-around to the documented limitation that PDF content always sits on top of an AIR application's display order?

I have a ComboBox in a toolbar that sits just above the HTML component displaying the PDF file and I need the drop down list to be able to display over the PDF content without getting obscured behind the PDF content. I tried using a separate window for the drop down list but it looks odd when the AIR application window loses focus and the title bar gets dimmed?

Of course if someone from Adobe can assure me that this limitation will be fixed anytime soon that would work as well.

Thanks,

Rick

Unfortunately there is not a workaround for this and we are not planning on addressing this limitation in the near-term. Longer term, would like to address this limitation but providing enhanced PDF support. I know this is probably not the answer you were hoping for, but I hope that it helps.

    Thanks,
