Any workaround for loading https://example.com/M%c3%bcller.html on Mac?

Oct 26, 2010 1:55 AM

Does anybody know a workaround for loading e.g. https://www.example.com/M%c3%bcller.html with Flash Player on a Mac? It seems that Flash Player cannot load URLs with encoded characters from e.g. https://other.example.com, at least not in the network sandbox. I filed http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-5580 and I've been hunting for a workaround since - to no avail

Stripping out all encoded chars is not really what I want to do...

Use a network monitor to see what Flash is trying to load.  Encoding should

work fine.  Are you using URLLoader or some other component?

What happens if you browse directly to those pages from the various

    browsers?

I just want to make sure you have been careful in your setup.  I noticed

that the SecurityError you posted might be expected since the request is to

a different domain than the one hosting the main SWF.  When you said it

worked for simpler URLs, was that html file residing next to the one that

doesn't work and was the main SWF in the same palce as it is when it fails

    to access the complex URL?
