Location of files

I am new to VC3. All projects and assets seem to be located on the C drive by default. I would like to move them to a huge extra drive I have. Are there any warnings I should heed? Can I move these files and then simply manually rediscover them using the browsing ability for [Video Effects, Styles, Topics, Graphics, Audio, Browse, Favorites, and Output]? Or will I find that this program really wants to run everything from the C drive.
