Thanks for the response. This is a new i7 Dell computer. About 3 weeks old now. Don't think its a hardware issue. I have seen another post on this issue on the forum, but haven't seen a response as to how to address.
More of a general question, but if issues are posted to the forum are the qualified ones forwarded to Adobe to research and for follow up fixes? Does any know how the forums intersect with Adobe technical support?
Don't think its a hardware issue.
It might not be, but recently, there were about three similar threads, and all were in regards to multi-drives in Dells going out. IIRC, each was fixed by Dell, with replacement units. My first course of action would be to download the very latest firmware update for that particular multi-drive. Not sure if Dell has those, of if one would need to go to the mfgr's. Web site for the firmware.
Good luck,
Hunt
I also have a new Dell Studio XPS with dual optical drives and W7 64 bit. It's only a month old, and has plenty of RAM and hard disk space.
I loaded the trial version of Premier 9 and tried making a quick test movie using the Instant Movie option. While the movie was being created, the No Disk error appeared. This essentially locks the computer since I cannot respond to the message selections which appear. A reboot is required.
It looks like this may be an incompatability issue with the Dell XPS hardware and PRE 9.
Hope someone has a solution.
