Can't log into Facebook on Android

Hello,

 

I recently installed Adobe Photoshop Express on my Android. When I tried to link my photos to my Facebook account and login, I encountered some trouble.

 

I entered my user name and password and clicked login, but every time the page would load and come back to the same login screen. I have triple-checked my login information and know that isn't the cause.

 

Can someone offer some help/suggestions?

    We had some server side issues last night.  Are you able to log in now?

    I tried again this morning and had no luck. The "Connect To Facebook" page seems to just reload, remembering my log in addy, but not password and never actually "logs me in".

    Hi Melissa

     

    Sorry for your difficulties.  I need more info to help you, as I'm able to install our app on an Android device (MyTouch 3G w/ OS 1.6) and sign into Facebook.  I just uploaded two pictures to my account.  I was also successful with an Android 2.2.1 device.

     

    What version of our app are you running?  You said you recently installed our app--can you make sure you have the most recent version: 1.3.1.698271

    You can find this info by launching our app, pressing the Menu button on your device, and then choosing More> About from the application menu.

     

    If you already have this installed, then I suggest you try un-installing the app via Settings > Applications, and then re-installing via Android Market again.

     

    Please let me know if this does or doesn't help.

    Hi again Charlie,

     

    I checked the version and it is the most recent. I also want to mention - which may have something to do with it -  that I have a Samsung Acclaim, Andriod 2.1 by US Cellular and most likely won't be able to update until the end of Jan (from what I hear).

     

    After uninstalling and then reinstalling, I am still not able to use the Facebook feature.

    After doing some internet searching for info, I wonder if thismight be a network or roaming issue?  If this failed to login over your wireless carrier, can you try WiFi instead?  Are you able to sign into Facebook directly, or with some other app that includes a Facebook login?

    I am able to log into Facebook through my phone (through their app) and through my computer via their website.

    At this time I can not try Wifi.

    I still can reproduce no problem with similar Android devices/OSes, and the current version of Photoshop Express.  When you are able to try via WiFi or some other wireless carrier (eg., when roaming or no longer roaming), please let us know the results.

    I recently had a simliar problem.  It was solved by making sure "Accept cookies" was checked on.
