Why does shockwave crash on google chrome?

I have encountered many problems with shockwave. In the last couple of days shockwave has crashed multiple times while loading videos and using applications that require it. I use windows 7. i have tried to resolve this problem by uninstalling shockwave and reinstalling it. Still no luck. I have learned that Google Chrome has shockwave built in it. Please someone tell me how to fix this.

    For what it counts, I've got the same problem. Shockwave and Chrome are up to date

    That is Flash Player, not Shockwave Player.

     

    What exactly is crashing?

    I don't know if they're having the same problem, but for myself, it says the shockwave flash is unresponsive. By being "unresponsive" it shows the behavior of staying green, but the sound works for around 10 more seconds before that message pops up. This happens on both google chrome and mozilla firefox. I did a sytem restore and that fixed the problem for a day. Any thoughts onto how I should resolve this issue? Anything is appreciated. :]

    Yeah - that's what I want to know!!! WHY DOES SHOCKWAVE CRASH EVEN THOUGH IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE A ALREADY INSTALLED ON GOOGLE CHROME??? HHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY - IS ANYBODY LISTENING???????
