Hi, does anyone know what the correct score needed to pass the Aca Dreamweaver CS5 exam. I am told it is 58%, but I would like to get it clarified.
Regards,
Thomas

For some reason, the Dreamweaver CS5 exam isn't listed on the Adobe website. I took the recertification exam last month, and you needed to score at least 71% to pass. I would imagine the same pass mark applies to the full certification exam. For Dreamweaver CS4, the pass mark was 72%.
Sorry, I have just realized that you were referring to the ACA (Adobe Certified Associate) exam, not the ACE (Adobe Certified Expert) exam. The pass mark for the Adobe Web Communication using Dreamweaver CS5 ACA exam is, indeed, 58%. You have to answer 41 questions in 50 minutes.
The ACA exam is intended to test foundation-level skills, so the pass level is less rigorous than the ACE exam, which is meant to test professional level skills.

As far as I am concerned, I passed !
Hi Thomas,
I'm not an Adobe employee, so can't do anything to help. I got the 58% information from the exam preparation information, which can be found here: http://www.adobe.com/education/instruction/ace/pdf/Web_Communication_C S5_ExamPrep.pdf (warning: it's a 10.5MB file).
I must admit that a 58% pass mark seems rather low, but that's what the documentation says. Are you sure it was the ACA exam you took, and not the ACE exam? The ACE exam is notoriously difficult to pass (often because of questions being poorly worded or about outdated aspects of web development).
If it was the ACA exam, I would write to Adobe complaining about the incorrect information in the preparation guide.
I think this is rather strange....I took the ACA exam yesterday i.e. the Certiport test and I got exactly the same result 70 and the exam requires 72. I found numerous glitches on the testing software. I've studied beyond belief and found the exam very simple and yet I failed. I notice, that to re-take the exam there is a £90 fee.
I have my doubts about the reliability of the Certiport exam. I just wonder if there isn't more to the story and that story is about money and additional fees?
As far as I remember, when you take the ACA (or any other certification) exam, you are obliged to sign an agreement that you won't reveal any of the questions to others. So, the answer is: no, you can't post the questions in this thread. Nor can you post a separate thread identifying the questions as coming from the exam.
However, there's nothing wrong in asking a general question in a separate thread, as long as you don't identify it as having come from an exam. But use your common sense. If you put it in the form of a multiple-choice, it will be painfully obvious where the question came from.
Although my Dreamweaver CS6 Learn by Video course is part of the official training for the ACA exam, I don't have any direct relationship with the people setting the questions for the exams. And my viewpoint might not always be the same as the examiner's.
