MAC AND WINDOWS

Jan 24, 2011 1:31 PM

I have PE8 installed on two machines, one of which I am about to replace with a Mac. I know I must deactivate it on the old machine but will I be able to activate it on the Mac when it is still installed on a PC?

In fact I intend n a few weeks to replace the PC too and buy a second Mac - again will this prove a problem?

Thanks

    Hello Andrew,

Your license for Photoshop Elements is for Windows only. Even if you were to acquire a Mac version of the installer, your serial number would be considered invalid. This has changed with Photoshop Elements 9. If you buy a box copy of PSE9, you will get both the Windows and Mac versions of the software and a cross-platform serial number.

For PSE8 & PSE9 you are permitted two installations, provided you do not use them simultaneously. One desktop and one lap-top.

Yes you can even use the discs in the box to install one version on a PC and one version on a Mac lap top or vice a versa.
