Customize metadata panel

It would be good to be able to add your own customized metadata to the metadata panel. Currently this has to be done through the file info dialog - whic is a bit annoying when having to work through large number of images. Also counter-intuitive for the novice user. Also would be nice to be able to discard all the unused metadata sets from the interface.

    You can select which panel sets and parameters to display.
    Cmmd/Cntrl +K, metadata section and select at will.

    A little help, please!

    I have no problem creating my own metadata panel. I want to know how to save this so it will be the default when I open Bridge CS4. The default panel has almost eveerything the exact opposite of what I want and it is worse than annoying to have to recreate my custom panel every time I open Bridge. There has got to be a way to make my custom panel the default panel.
