sending pdf form variables in browser

Feb 17, 2011 8:37 AM

Hello,

I have created a form, order.pdf, and it seems to send everything fine to the URL i specify (a php file), and the variables pass just fine.

However, when i upload the file to a web server and then access the order.pdf through a link so the pdf opens inside the browser, the submit button does nothing.

Any ideas?

It's hard to say without seeing the form or being able to test it. Can you provide a link?

That file submits for me both standalone and inside of a browser (WinXP, Acrobat Pro 9, Firefox), but it does not appear as though the PHP script is returning much of a response. What is the response supposed to look like?

Since you're using Chrome, could it be that it's using its built-in PDF viewer, as opposed to Acrobat or Reader? Submit actions do not appear to work when Chrome's PDF viewer is being used.
