Version numbering & activity grouping

Is there a way to correctly set the version number in a custom component? I have set the  <version>1.0</version> tag in the component.xml but it still shows in LC as 0.0 in the Activity explorer.

 

Also, is there a way to set the Grouping of services within the Activity explorer. All of my custom component activities show up in "Default"
