Hi There,

Did you follow my video tutorial for setting up the flash player 11 unofficial standalone player?

Also ensure you followed the instructions on:

And lastly, ensure that in the publish settings, you have selected "Flash Player 11". At what point is it that you get the error? Is it when you click publish, the flash CS5 IDE says error, and cannot publish a swf? Or is it when you try and open the swf file? If it doesn't let you publish the swf, then you made a mistake somewhere when setting up Flash CS5 to author Flash 11 content, and would recommend following the instructions again from the start at blog.kaourantin.net.

If you can publish it fine, but cannot open it, then it's a problem setting up my player. Try these things and let me know!

Hi Jesse,
Thank you for your prompt response.
What did I do this?
1. I copied the file to a directory playerglobal.swc FP11
2. I copied the file to a directory FlashPlayer11.xml Players/FP11.
3. Installed flashPlayer11 Incubator to build Firefox and Internet Explorer.
4. Paste the files by video tutorial - AxShockwaveFlashObject.dll and other
5. I changed the file name to FlashPlayerDebugger
An attempt to open a file in Firefox TeaPot.html, it ends up like this:

Hi!

See if it opens with the debugger (Ctrl + shift +enter)

Remember I said to specify WHEN the error happens. Try just plain publishing (File-> publish). If you can do that and don't get an error, then it's a problem with my player. Let us know the results of that test.

Step 1 for me exactly the same
Step 2 in my same
Step 3 looks identical
Step 4 also
Step 5 as the image below

Step 6 push (Control / Shift / Enter)
step 7 response from the debugger:
Attempting to run and connect to Player using URL C: \ Users \ Rysiu \ Downloads \Teapot \ xxx.swf and after a while -

Flash

can

not

connect

with the version

of the debugger debug session will be aborted.
When you press (Control / Enter), the response;
ReferenceError: Error # 1069: not found in flash.display.Stage stage3Ds properties,and the default value does not exist.
at xxx_fla: MainTimeline/frame1 ()

Interesting... can you run the standalone debugger manually? Make sure you have the internet explorer active-x control for flash 11 installed:

And also just try running the exe yourself. Browse the to standalone player and double click it. You can click file->open inside the player and manually load a swf. If that doesn't work, even after having the activeX installed, you may need to upgrade your version of microsoft .net to 4.0:

I had the same problem, and updating .net to 4.0.30319 solved it. Maybe you should throw this little bit of information in to your readme, or on your blog post . If you already have somewhere, my apologies, but I just came from there and I never saw it!
