I can create connections of a web site and to a blog. I have another web site that I want to connect to. In fact it's the parent site that hosts the blog that I can connect to. But when I try and create a connection to the web site it goes off to check and after a bit it comes back with an error asking me to make sure I have permisions set properly.

I don't know which permissions it's refering to. I've looked at my firewall and Contibute has the same permisions as Dreamweaver. (Oh, BTW I can publish to the web site from Dreamweaver.) Could it be some kind of permision on my ISP's server? Any ideas.
I'm also getting the same error. I use SFTP and when I connect to the website via DW CS5 the connection is perfect. When I go to adminster the site via Contribute I get the error to check permissions. In another forum online, a user mentions that Contribute attempts to install something on the server or place a file on the web server.
My setup is that I have a development/testing server local to me and have to use the Central IT web server for our web pages which I don't have very much control over. But I do have a valid account to access web server.
Any suggestions other than making all users use DW?
Thanks
Sorry Bernie but I can't help. I quit my evaluation (and use) of Contribute
shortly after posting that question.
