annoying SWF still loading off screen....please HELP!

HI all,

 

OK this is really annoying.......I have searched and searched for a soloution but to no avail.

I even looked into preloaders but that doesn't seem to work either, but there has to be a reason why Flash Catalyst is not using the main swf (the blue cube in my site below) correctly:

When I preview my site in FC the cube is always centre as it should be and where it has bee n placed in every state, but I am not sure why the first time a web browser loads the website it loads the swf off centre.......I never had it in this location in FC or even at this size, so why oh why is it doing this.......there has to be a logical explanation for this.  As soon as the site loads incorrectly and you refresh the site....then it loads absolutely fine, so this led me to believe that the swf is too large so i shrunk it in size from 6MB to 1.4MB and it still seems to load off centre if you clear you web history and reload the page????????????

 

I actually need to get the site up and running quite quickly as I need to show it to potential employers and I cant have this odd looking cube off to one side as it just looks unprofessionsal.

 

So if there is anyone out there (paging all Adobe employees/wizards) that can help it would be much appreciated!

    Just to add.....

    I imported the swf using File>import swf

     

    And I never converted the file to any type of component, I just placed it to stage, resized it and copied to all states.

    The FC preview works fine, it's just when the website first loads it starts weird, but every other subsequent load it works fine......

     

    Not sure if that helps at all!

    Hi Tanya, thx for the speedy reply, how would you like me to upload the files....I have managed to get all the 'deploy-to-web' files from my web server, well I think it's all of them anyway, but I dont have access to the FC (Flash Catalyst) files from this machine unfortunately.

     

    Will these files be enough or do you need the FC file aswell?

     

    If this i sall you need, then I can always send them to your email address through the 'yousendit' website?

    Hi there, I've recently revamped my site, and was wondering if anyone could help me with this issue.

    For some reason my swf loads off centre and then when it's finished shifts to the centre (where it's meant to be) and then incraeses to the size it's meant to be aswell.

    I've tried converting it to a button, but that doesn't work either.  It's strange because it only happens the first time when the browser loads the website everytime after that it loads correctly, but it looks unprofessional the first time the website loads.

     

    Any help on this issue

    Hi there,

     

    What exactly is the swf that is causing problems? Is it a simple animation, or something more complex like a prebuilt image gallery? Some swfs try to position themselves at runtime, which could be causing the problem you're seeing. But, as Tanya said, it's difficult to tell without seeing your actual project.

    It was just a simple cube animation from a 3d package that I rrendered out and then comped as a swf.

    It was then imported into flash catalyst resized and centered and then all the pages and states with their transitions were created, and whenever I run project locally all is fine, it's just when it loads from the web???
