Since I purchased CS5, I've found that double clicking, or dragging to the Ps (or Ai) icon in the dock will only open the program, but not the file. I then have to go back and double click the file again to bring it up. I've looked in preferences but cannot find a way to resolve this. A friend who also has CS5 does not have this problem.
By the way. I didn't see an update for Illustrator. I have the same problem in Illustrator. If Illustrator is not open, and I click on an Illustrator file, it opens Illustrator, but not the file I clicked on. I then have to double click the file a second time to open it! -n
I'm on Illustrator 15.01. I am not using any third party scripting. I am using Suitcase Fusion 3 for font management and I don't have it automatically start up. Suitcase has caused me issues in the past. This is a brand new Mac pro so I haven't re-installed a new operating system.
I am on a Mac. It is less than a year old Mac Pro and I haven't updated the operating system. When I get a chance I will try out your solution and let you know if it works for me.
