I am having problems with using these items. I have been having trouble uploading photos to websites as it says i neen Adobe Flashplayer. I keep installing it but it still doesn't work,it just keeps telling me to install it again. I have looked at my Add-ons and what is enabled. It tells me that Adobe Shockwaves is enabled.I was thinking that these must have been conflicting. So i sdisabled Shockwaves and tried again but its still the same. I have also just noticed that i get a message saying that Flashplayer will continue with installation when the following conflicting item has been removed,ie Internet Explorer.

Now what am i dsuppose to do now. I use Windows XP and my browser is IE. I have never had these problems before.

Hi, No they are not the same. Flash Player is a browser plugin(addon in IE) and works thru the browser. You can read about Shockwave Player here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15508.html

You may want to try the manual Install of Flash Player.

Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Uninstaller:
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Installer for IE- use the EXE Installer
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html

Close all browser windows, you only want to be looking at your Desktop.
Disable any messenger services, as yahoo, msn, etc in the system tray(area near the clock)
Disable any Anti-Virus Program

Be sure to use the Administrator Account.

Run the Uninstaller and when finished, Reboot(restart) your computer.
Check to make sure the Anti-Virus is still Disabled
Run the Installer for IE, and when finished, Reboot.

Then go to this test site and test each browser:

http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

You may want to print these instructions to make it easier to follow. If you have any questions, let me know.

Also check to make sure the Shockwave Flash Object in your manage addons is Enabled when finished.

Thanks,
