Can't Find "Filter for NonRejected Items"

Apr 25, 2011 7:15 AM

I consistently work with a lot of images and my workflow has been to reject part of the population and then filter the remaining for quality or purpose.

My workflow for as long as I can remember has been to 1) access the CustomFilter box lower right hand corner of the screen, select "Non-Rejected" photos only, and then from the filter filmstrip, select the flag level threshold and color  that I wish to filter for.

As of last week, I can no longer find the "Non-Rejected" photos only option in the pre-sets. I am not sure why it disappeared and I don't know how to restore it.

Can someone please help me?

FYI - I am using Lightroom 2.7 but I don't think that should matter in this instance.

I don't know where your "Non-Rejected" filter preset came from, I don't have it in my LR2.7. But you can easily create it again:

    • Make sure the filter bar at the top of the Library View is shown (you might have to use "\" to show it)
    • Select the "Attribute" filter in the filter bar
    • Filter for only flagged and unflagged photos (click both filter-icons)
    • Choose "Save current Settings as new Preset" from the filter preset dropdown
    • Name it "Non-Rejected"

From then on, you also have this preset available from the bread crumb bar filter selection dropdown.

Don't know why it's gone, but you can create it yourself:

    • Go to the lower right corner of the screen
    • Make sure all other filters are off
    • Click on the Picked and Un-Picked flag to turn those filters on
    • Leave the Rejected flag unselected
    • Click on the list of Custom Filters
    • Then: "Save Current Settings as a new Preset"
