Search Layers

Apr 27, 2011 5:46 AM

If I have many layers and I i'm looking for a specific layer, searching the layer by name would make my work so much easier.

Something like this:

»Yes, I know« this is the feature request Forum, but as this functionality can already be achieved otherwise Paul was polite enough to point that out.

And as this functionality can already be achieved it might not get a high priority for the Photoshop team – but I could be wrong there.

And to add another piece of unsolicited advise: Collecting one’s most used Scripts in a Configurator Panel can improve the convenience of using Scripts without assigning and memorizing a lot of Shortcuts for those.

Sorry, I probably did not properly checked your mock-up – if you want the Layers Panel to hide all other Layers then that would indeed be a major change for the Layers Panel functionality.

But how do you intend to work on from there? Would the Panel switch back to »all-layers-view« once you select one (or more) of the search results automatically?
