"Save As" shortcut not working?

Hello

 

So my "Save As" shortcut (CMD + SHIFT + S) doesn't work, not only in PS but in all the other programs to the best of my knowledge.  Illustrator, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, InDesign...  No dice.

 

Anyone know the answer to this?  Would greatly appreciate it.

    Have you set an OS command to use that shortcut?

    Or installed some other application that grabs that key combination?

    Thanks for the response.

     

    To answer your question - Nope.  I use Spark, which lets me set up my F keys the way I like, but even when turned off, the Save As shortcuts still don't work.

     

    What's weird is, other similar shortcuts, such as Close All in Dreamweaver (Shift + Cmd + W) works.

    Well, something on your system is grabbing that key combination before they get to applicaitons.

     

    That could be the OS, or some other app/utility you have installed.

     

    In rare circumstances it could be caused by a defective keyboard... but I doubt it here.

    are you running extensis suitcase font manager? Sometimes that grabs the command shift S.

    What version of OS X installed? 10.6.5 and 10.6.6 have issues with modifiers that was corrected in the 10.6.7 update.

    Thanks for all your responses everyone.  Checked all my running programs and their modifiers, checked my OS version, downloaded updates for everything, restarted my computer x times, etc.

     

    Finally figured out what the issue was:

    I have absolutely no idea how this got set this way (perhaps someone's idea of a semi-cruel joke?) but now I can finally speed up my workflow a bit!
