Launchpad and Flash

Hello,

 

I love the idea of launchpad but from what I have read, it creates a ready to use flex project. Do we have any support to create a ready to use flash project. I prefer to use the flash platform only as a compiler mostly and sometimes to create simple stage assets. Do we have to work with mxml if we use launchpad?

    Hi there, yes currently it is going to generate a Flex project or Flex Mobile project (with the new version) specifically that contains

    MXML. Are you requesting the generation of a straight ActionScript based project? What kind of use case are you considering specifically? Thanks! Holly

    Hello,

     

    Yes, a straight actionscript based project will be good. But if you had the option of creating a flash professional based project, it will be great. It could create the base empty fla and the doc classes and other files around the fla, but essentially a flash based project, that is meant to be compiled within the flash professional framework.

     

    Say for example that I wanted it to create an empty fla with a doc class with all the feature modules I selected in the launchpad already implemented, so I can then start off from that fla and the document class and build my project around it. How does that sound?

    Yes, I also want to stay mostly within Flash Professional. A launchpad or template for different types of AIR projects would be useful. Is there any or are they coming and when?

    I'd be keen to see a purely Flash/AS3 version as well - though I'm more interested in being able to integrate it with FlashDevelop ;-)
