Adobe Nav Won't connect

Photoshop 10.0.4 on Windows 7. Have enabled remote connections and set a password of 8 char.

On Adobe Nav I find the connection and it asks me for the password. After entering the password it waits a few seconds and then reports "Server not responding".

 

I can access the PC from the iPad using RDP so the connection should be OK.

 

Any ideas?

    iPad and PC on same IP subnet?

    To clarify, the name of the Photoshop server you set up in the Remote Connections dialog shows up on Nav or are you manually entering an IP address on the iPad?

    Yes, I believe that they are on the same subnet. They both

    show up as connected clients on my router.

    Yes, the address of the server shows up on the iPad. I tap it and it askes for a password. That's as far as I get.

    Further to my previous answer I think that the problem lies in the network configuration.

     

    I have a wireless ADSL router and the iPad is connected to this through WiFi. My PC is connected to a a network port on the router but between the PC and the Router there is a Netgear XAVB101-100UKS Powerline AV Ethernet Adapter which acts as a bridge.

     

    When I changed the configuration and connected the PC over WiFi then Nav connects as it should.

     

    Unfortunately this is a problem as I need the speed of the Powerline Adapter for RDP connections to another PC and the distance is too great for a quality WiFi connection.

     

    Anyway the mystery is solved. Many thanks for your help.
