I need a way to add effects intermitently to a multitrack session. I know you can add effects to specific parts of a wave in Edit View but I need a way to do this "nondestructively" in Multitrack View.

If you click on the white Automation arrow head along side the Read field at bottom left of track box Automation lanes will become visible. You can then add an Insert FX Power On/Off or Dry/Wet mix envelope.
