Error in check out operation

We have implemented CMIS server side code in our DAM system. I have made the connection to it from Drive using the CMIS connector. I can see the folders and documents alright but when I select to check out from the Drive context menu of a document, it gives me the following error on the screen -

 

The operation could not be completed. The operation would make a conflicting change to an item that is already checked out. Error code : 6.

 

There is nothing in the Drive logs to troubleshoot the issue.

 

If someone can please provide any directions on how to proceed further with this, that will be very helpful.

    To add more information to my original question -

     

    I have written a CheckOut method on CMIS server side. The checked out collection exposed from service document is http://server/{repositoryId}/checkedout. As mentioned in section 3.7.3.2 of CMIS spec v1.0, I assume Drive would POST an Atom entry containing object id to be checked out to this URL. So I have set the UriTemplate of CheckOut method as "/{repositoryId}/checkedout". (I am using WCF REST.) But this method is not getting called. Any breakpoints I set in this method are not hit. And still I get the error mentioned in my original post.

     

    I would appreciate if any CMIS programmer can answer the question.
