Certificate of Completion

Greetings,

 

I'm working on a project that we would like to have a certificate of completion for the participant at the end of it. Has anyone any experience in making such a thing? Some considerations we've had include, how the participant can add their name, date of completion? Can it be automatically stapmed with a date? What is to prevent them from entering names like Goofy? Do we have them print it out and submit it to their supervisor or have the completed certificate sent directly to the mgr. What if they want to print a copy for their wall? What if they want to give the file to their coworker who doctors it to have his name etc.

 

I know I'm not being very specific. I figured someone has had experience doing this. And could point me in a good direction. Adobe hasn't been much help and their live chat, I thought I was getting responses from a computer because of the time delay and because the responses looked like they were cut/pasted from a sales brochure.

 

I have CS 5.5 and have been told to design the form in InDesign first. The eLearning part is an Articulate thing, don't know much more than that since it's handled by someone else.

    Hi there

     

    You mention the Creative Suite. Normally we see questions here about Adobe Captivate, Presenter or eLearning Suite. So I'm not sure if you have Adobe Captivate at your disposal. I don't believe Captivate is part of the Creative Suite.

     

    Adobe Captivate has a way that you could capture the learner's name and populate items later in the project. There is also a widget that could be used that allows printing of a certificate. So Captivate could likely accomplish what you want.

    Well, we do use Captivate but not for this particular project. That is good to know though. The rest of my question has to do with adding a date stamp to a PDF while it is on a web page/linked on a website. I guess I should move that part to the Acrobat forum. Thanks for your help.
