Whenever I delete pages, the wrong pages are deleted -- not the ones I highlighted.
For example, if I highlight the first 5 pages of a 20-page document, the last 5 pages will be deleted.
If I highlight the middle 5 pages, the last 5 pages will be deleted.
InDesign 5.5 gets the page count from the highlight, but always deletes from the end of the document.
I've deleted the preferences, restarted ID, rebooted Win7/64, but nothing changes this weird behavior.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Indesign is deleting the pages you selected, but if you have text in threaded frames that runs through tose pages yo aren't deleting the text. The pages and frames are removed, but the other pages are relinked and the text flows through the new chain. You need to highlight and delete the text from those pages as a separate step.
Thanks, Peter. I just returned to edit my "problem" and you beat me to it.
Something to do with the extreme hot weather we've been having. Yes, that's it. The heat.
It's a great Stupid Question, though. One that hopefully some newbie will stumble upon and smack his forehead in sudden revelation. If I hadn't been using ID for several years, I'd feel a lot better, though.
