Hi,
I am new to Adobe Live Cycle ES product.
Our customer is using Adobe Live Cycle ES not ES 2.5 and wanted to integrate with SharePoint 2010.
Is it really required to upgrade to ES2.5 ?
Can ES directly work with SharePoint 2010 ?
Are there any limitations that should be taken note ?
Will be great, if subject matter experts on this forums could advise on this .
Regards
Livecycle Sharepoint connector is not supported with Adobe Livecycle ES. You will have to upgrade either to ES2.5 or to ES2 + SP2 + Sharepoint QF4 (QF = Quick Fix). I think ES2.5 is a better option, because you need to run only one installer.
But, yeah obviously if you want to get sharepoint connector with Adobe Livecycle ES only, then you will have to contact Adobe Enterprise Support for that.
Thanks

The best place to look for this is on the upgrade page on the Adobe website before you contact support.
See http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/upgrade/
ES2.5 is just a service pack on top of ES2, but it is a significant upgrade from ES.
If you're on maintenance and support, you should have received information entitling you to an upgrade. I am not going to say that this is easy, as it depends upon your forms and, more importantly your processes and any Java code you have. In general, I'd suggest that you talk to whoever installed your system in the first place before you proceed through an upgrade. There are great benefits to moving to ES2 and beyond, but I would never call the process trivial.
I'd check out the upgrade section of the documentation at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/documentation.html#task=2&mo dule=-1
especially http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/prepareupgrade_8x.pdf
I'd also suggest looking at this article from one of our architects http://craigrandall.net/archives/2010/05/livecycle-es2-app-model/ which tells of one of the major architectural enhancements that came into ES2.
I'd consider making the jump to the new Document Services in ADEP; you can find informaton on ADEP and LiveCycle at http://www.adobe.com/solutions/customer-experience/enterprise-platform /faqs.html
