Problem with PDF reader documents.. Urgent help needed..

Jul 1, 2011 10:31 AM

We have installed APTT tool and our system configuration is QTP version- 11, Adobe Reader- 9.4 and Operating System- Windows XP professional (Version 2002 Service Pack 3). The sample QTP script XMLForm_in_Browser(present in APTT download folder) is running fine with no failure reported and even the XMLForm.pdf all objects are getting identified if we open it individually and do a GUI Spy.

If we are opening any separate PDF reader documents then the objects are not getting identified, say for example a link or any other object in PDF reader document is not getting identified. The AcroQTP and Automation.api plugin are also properly installed and AcroQTP plugin is checked & loaded.

The QTP Object Hierarchy shown in this case is: Window:Adobe Reader >> WinObject:AVPageView, once it is pointed on any object in PDF document.

We would really appreciate help in this regard. Thanks in advance for the support!!

Regards,

Chandan

    Hi,

The QTP can identify the PDF if it is created with Acrobat.com(I mean the PDF with Forms).

The ordinary PDF objects cannot be identified using QTP.If you have more details on this,Please Let me also know.
