Exported jpg doesn't look like what I see in LR

Aug 28, 2011 10:01 AM

I am stuck on this one problem and am hoping you folks can help out.

I have an image I've beenworking on in LR and PSE.  It looks good in LR, but when I export it to a jpg, my last round of changes aren't saved.  The image that's exported is grainier and has less contrast, both of which were things I changed in LR.

I'm careful to save the changes to the metadata before doing the export.  I'm not running into this problem with any other images.  Can anyone help?

Depending on a number of factors, LR doesn’t show you the noise reduction which apparently is the disconnect here. In Develop, zoom in to 1:1, they should then match.

IF you export as TIFF, what happens?

Are you scaling down the image in the output? Applying output sharpening?

If this is reproducible, you should report it as a bug at http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family#problem

Exporting at 100% is a workaround to a problem that shouldn't exist.
