Password upon Resume

Aug 30, 2011 7:08 AM

Is there  a way to turn OFF the password solicitation after resuming the project?  Better yet, is there a way to keep the project from "sleeping"?  I don't understand why this would even be a feature, but I guess maybe a couple people might like it, but not me.  I often leave my project to do some other research, and when I come back I ALWAYS have to enter the password again and wait for it to reload.  That's a major pain.

Any way to disable this thing entirely?

Gosh - we keep going back and forth on this. Early on users told us that they love it and they would like this protection to be even more robust that it is right now.

I'm tempted to leave it as is.

It should not block you after 5 minutes of inactivity. That is a bug. Can you tell us what platform you are on, what browser are you using or are you using the AIR app?

    Hi,

The timeout after which you are prompted to enter your password is 30 minutes. If you are getting this prompt earlier than that, it is a bug which we need to look into. We will work on providing a preference to change the session lock time.

    Thanks for your inputs.

    Hi,

Please change the value back to the default ie, 1800. Now you should be able to logon to Story without errors.

Changing the contents of this file causes problems with Story application's signature which could lead to issues in login/upgrade. Hence it is not recommended to use this workaround.

Yes we do understand the need to keep the option customizable by the user. We will work on providing a preference for this.

Thanks for your feedback/suggestions.Do keep them coming.

    Thanks,

I second this. I'm not worried about anybody stealing my scripts. Really annoying to have to reenter my password and wat for it to load back up.
