The documentation still mentions that in order to customize the installer, you can include a customized ServerPresets.xml file.
However, I was under the impression that in Adobe Drive 3.0 the IGetConnectorInfoHandler interface can be used instead to show your connector details in the Add Drive UI.
Is the ServerPresets.xml file still needed and if so why exactly?
Thanks in advance.
ServerPresets.xml and IGetConnectorInfoHandler are used for different purposes.
ServerPresets.xml is used to specify the default list of servers shown to the user in the Adobe Drive 3 Connect UI. You can see 'Preset Servers' in the following image.
IGetConnectorInfoHandler is used to customize the display in the Connect UI when your connector is selected. You can supply an icon, name, brand, and description via IGetConnectorInfoHandler. You can see 'DAM', 'ADOBE DIGTAL ENTERPRISE PLATFORM', 'Connect to the Digital Asset Management Services Click here to learn more about the platform and try it out' and the icon in the above image.
Therefore, if you want to specify the default list of servers, you still need ServerPresets.xml.
