Used Spy menu bar in my site, built in Dreamweaver 4, which worked well except the sub-menus couldn't be used on a touch screen such as iPad.
An example page would be http://www.bronzesculpture.net/EdBronze4.html
I now have Dreamweaver 5.5 which is supposed to solve this problem but am unsure how to proceed.
Spry Menu Bar 2.0 does have the feature that you are asking for. Have a look here http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/ui/
Gramps
Thanks Gramps, this has got me started.
I made a copy of an existing page and added a test menu from my new Dreamweaver 5.5, which presumably uses the latest version of Spry, above the old menu. I added pictures/links to the first item.
See http://www.bronzesculpture.net/EdBronze1b.html
All links of course go to the unmodified pages of the existing site (same without the b)
Everything works fine in a regular browser, as it did before.
On an iPad, once you have clicked a couple of times on the new menu (#2) items, the sub menus start appearing, including the pictures in the first item, though no amount of clicking on just the first item gets things started, so it wouldn't work if I continued to add all the pictures/links. If I remove the link under the very first button I can force it to show the sub menu pictures but I don't think I should do this.
I am making progress but not quite there. Can you help me?
