Should I uninstall CS4 when I upgrade to CS5.5?

Hi. This may seem like a strange question but here goes: I have recently upgraded Production Premium CS4 to Production Premium CS5.5.

Should I keep the entire CS4 or just uninstall it completely from my computer? What I'm not sure is: Does CS5.5 use all or most elements from CS4

because it is an upgrade or is this irrelevent? Thanks for your input. Daniel Martel. Quebec. Canada.

    You can keep them both. They are independent. Some people keep multiple versions in case their older projects do not work in the latest version. The only thing negative is that the older version takes up disk space.

    Hi Steve. Thanks a lot for your answer. Due to the fact that I use a RAID 0 configuration (2 Seagate Cheetah HD -146.8 GB internal 3.5" SAS 15Krpm 16MB) for HD editing, keeping both Suites does take disk space.

    I have a 1 TB 7200 rpm HD for graphics and clips. My CPU is an Intel i7 Extreme; I have 24 GB of RAM and a Quadro CX card.

    I hope I'm not taking too much advantage of your expertise but, here's a question that I've posted after the one you answered:

    If I use the CS5 Production Premium on a 7200 rpm HD, is it possible to have a similar performance with the Mercury Engine

    as with the RAID 0 configuration to edit HD footage?
