Is there an y difference between the gradient created by Photoshop and illustrator or Fireworks?
What do you mean illustrator gradients are different?
When I posted my question i had the following in mind-and to be more specifically.
I am not talking about the case where(for example) Fw gradients might have 3 features and illustrator 10 features.
I am talking about the case where if you go to draw a gradient with the exact conditions(color, value, contrast...etc) in both Fw and Ai-is the result is going
to be the same, from an aesthetic point of view?
Probably this is a dumb question.
I decided to open topic because I am finding it difficult to make an impressive gradient in Fw, like the ones you find in eye catching web sites around the web.
As a result, I asked myself, is my skills that suffer, or both my skills and the tools(Fw) used.
The link you seems very helpful, nonetheless, the above words clarify(I hope) the things a little.

AI is a vector graphics app good for print designs and detailed drawings...
What matters is how you save the file.
RGB optimized for the web as PNG or JPG will give you 16 million colors (smoother transitions). If saved as an 8-color GIF, you'll see noticeable bands between colors.
The following images were made in Photoshop (I don't have Fireworks but it should be the same).
