John Joslin

Many of us have known and been helped by John over the years. He passed away this past September 17th after a fight with cancer.

Thanks for letting the U2U community be aware of this very sad news. He was sure one of the most helpful members out here. A Star is gone from the forum and now shines in the sky...

*argh* And here we were wondering why he was no longer around. Really a pity.

Sometimes I didn't quite see eye to eye with John, but all in all I sure wish he was here keeping me on my toes.

John was a man of integrity and high standards. And if you poked him a little, a terrific sense of humour (it seems appropriate to use the English spelling).

He knew me here as D Fosse, and before that as Freeagent. It was in fact John - and dave milbut! - who drew me into this forum in the first place. These guys seemed to have fun, and they spoke my language (well, not exactly, but I figured I could get along with my broken English).

    John will be missed.

What sad news. He passed on my birthday, no less!

I've missed him now for some time.

    Now it forever.

I will truly miss his simple, quiet and always helpful responses to problems posed on these forums. I could not count the number of times his assistance to others greatly helped me in my learning about Photoshop. His passing is a great loss to this community.

Thank you, Paulo, for the biographical link.
