Preflight Question - Profile is empty

I am trying to sort out how to convert color PDFs to gray scale.

 

Instructions I have found say you can do this through the preflight profile options -- but I have none. The dialog box is blank. My only option is "Show All" (which shows nothing).

 

I have tried several different color PDFs and the same thing.

 

Did an add on or plug in not get installed or am I missing something else?

    Preflight is not a color management question?

     

    And how does one change a message to another forum?

     

    It would be nice to get a little help, here.

    Depending on which version of Acrobat you have:

    - go to 'Advanced' or 'View > Tools' >  Print Production

    - Select Preflight

    - Select the 'Select single fixups' button  (the small icon with the wrench)

    - Search for Grayscale

    - Select the fix profile 'convert to grayscale'

    - Run the 'fixing profile' on the PDF, and all colors should be converted to gray.

    As posted, it is unmistakably an application-specific question. (As also evidenced by the response you got in post #2.)

    You can't.  You start a new thread in the appropriate forum and copy and paste your question there.

    Incidentally, you're not addressing Adobe here.  We're all users just like you.

     

    You're bound to find a lot more users who know Acrobat inside and out in the Acrobat forum, obviously.
