Hi. We'll be purchasing new computers and I wanted to run this by you all:
We typically work on files up to about 300MB, with up to 20 different layers, a few alpha channels, 10 paths, etc.. Occasionally, using Perfect Resize to scale up to the max of 30,000 pixels.
Since we don't know when/if a new Mac Pro is coming, how do the following specs look for our above needs to you?
- iMac 3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
- 32GB RAM
- 1TB Serial ATA Drive
- AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2GB GDDR5 (need to drive the iMac display and a 27" Eizo monitor)
- Promise Pegasus R4 4TB RAID (scratch disk, Time Machine, etc.)
