Updates to Folio Panel, Producer Tools and Content Viewer on iPad breaking scroll panels

Nov 16, 2011 8:43 AM

This has not been a good morning.

Came into the office this morning, logged in and saw that there were updates for the Content Viewer, Producer Tools and the Folio Panel. Updated them all. Started to work some more on a promo piece for a new magazine and began to notice Scroll Panels using the "Pan Only" form within the Content Overlay panel no longer work. This was a great way to create scroll panels that could contain hyperlinks. Problem is, I am not sure where the problem lies. Is the problem with the Viewer or with the updates to the Folio Tools or Folio Panel? I am unfortunately on deadline for this afternoon and I don't have the luxury to troubleshoot this. Granted, I probably shouldn't have updated all of these tools at this juncture, but I was hoping that these updates would fix the problem I was having with the Desktop Viewer that wasn't working. Sadly, the Desktop Viewer works now, but that came with the price of losing functionality elsewhere.

Frustrated.

I am also facing the same issue - We are on the deadline here and I updated the Producer Tools and the Folio Panel just as the guy above did and the result is: The scroll that was working yesterday no longer works today - PLEASE, get us a solution!

Just tweeted the same thing. Definitely broken for anything that uses Pan Only which of course is what’s required for scrolling.

I can get them to go full screen but then I can’t close them.

I have no idea how this got out the door.

The program team is aware of this problem with the InDesign CS5.5 plug-in. Sorry about the inconvenience. I'll let you know when I find out when the fix will occur.

We posted the correct Folio Producer tools on the web. Scrollable frames should work now. Please give it a try and let us know if there is a problem. Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

I had to uninstall the panel and the tools then reinstall them to get the viewer back. But the good news is that the tools seem to work now.

Will give them a much better test tomorrow.
