Extension manager CS5 and CS5.5 not running under non-admin user

Regarding Extension Manager not running under either non-admin user or administrator:

 

I have read many peoples questions with many different types of answers.

 

I have tried many of the suggestions and nothing works.

 

Enough is enough.

 

This is something that Adobe should correct and send through their updates.

    Sorry for the trouble. Could you please tell me which OS are you using and which CS products have you installed?

    I have the same problem. Extension Manager just hangs up. However on my Admin account, it works fine. I'm using Mac 10.6.8 with CS5 12.0.4 x32

    Have you tried to delete all files under "/Users/<YourUserName>/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#Security/FlashPlayerTrust/" ?

    Yes. I deleted, logged out and still have the hang-up.

    Can you see the window of Extension Manager? Could you generate log files?

    The console log is not useful for troubleshooting. Please create a file named "ExManLog.YES" under "/Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CS5/Adobe Extension Manager CS5.app/Contents/MacOS", then relaunch Extension Manager. After it hangs up, kill the process, then provide the log files under "/Users/<YourUserName>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CS5".

    I'm a photo retoucher, not a programmer. So I have no idea about the difference between a Console log and an ExMan Log.

     

    How do I create an ExManLog.YES file?

    1. Run "Terminal.app" from "/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app".

    2. In Terminal window, input the following command then press "return" key:

        cd "/Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CS5/Adobe Extension Manager CS5.app/Contents/MacOS"

    3. input the following command then press "return" key:

        touch ExManLog.YES

    4. Close Terminal window.
