One of our user is reporting that he gets an error when he tries to open InDesign 7.5 CS5.5 with our extension installed on Snow Leopard:
Adobe InDesign cannot load the IDHostAdapter.InDesignPlugin plug-in. The IDHostAdatpter.InDesignplugin plugin requires the 7.0 version of InDesign. Please contact the vendor to get a compatible version of IDHostAdapter.InDesignPlugin.
The manifest.xml includes both 7 and 7.5 though :
<Host Name="IDSN" Version="[7.0,7.5]" />
<Locale Code="All" />
<RequiredRuntime Name="CSXS" Version="2.0" />
I haven't been able to reproduce the problem on my machine (also Snow Leopard and ID7.5) so I was wondering if you've encountered this problem before and what is the work around?
Also is there another place besides the manifest.xml where the version of the host application has to be defined?
Thanks in advance for your help.
The current delivered InDesign Host Adapter in CS Extension Builder 1.5 is only compatible with InDesign CS5 and 7.5.0. To support development for InDesign CS5.5 (including the 7.5.1 update) you will need to download the updated version located at:
Please note that this only affects Mac OS.
