Help with Editor / Organizer 9 Please!

I recently purchased Elements 9 for an Imac via the itunes app store. It doesn't appear to come with Organizer -- are these two separate programs? Forgive my ignorance, last time I purchased Elements it was version 3 from Best Buy, and it came with both Editor and Organizer together. Confused and irritated that I have to resort to posting a message to figure this out!!!!

    The app store version does not have organizer, although Adobe doesn't make it as clear as they should. That's why it's called Photoshop Elements Editor instead of just Photoshop Elements. It's geared to the majority of mac folks who use iphoto or something else or just don't want organizer.

    Thanks for your reply. It's not obvious whether Organizer can be purchased separately or not , but after reading all the bad reviews of it I don't think I'll bother looking! I'mgoing to check out Lightroom and Aperture and see what works best.

    Lightroom integrates well with Elements as an external editor. If you shoot in raw you will gain the benefit of tools not available in the Camera Raw version which comes with Elements.

    u also can try the old BRIDGE program which still works with elements or Google mac PICASSA 3.8 which is free from the google site.

    In any case, no there's no organizer for app store. Possibly they realized that with iphoto, aperture, lightroom there wouldn't be enough demand to make it worth porting over, or it could just be too difficult to do it to meet the app store requirements for where things go.

    Yes, you cannot purchase PSE 9 Organizer from app store. i find Organizer quite useful on Windows and so I bought a separate bundle of PSE 10 for Mac. It has Organizer for Mac and works great for my needs. Thanks.
