Fill PDF in an automated fashion

Let’s say we create a PDF using the designer, at that point you have the XML source, you have defined the field names and its types.

Using an external engine, how do we call Acrobat dll and pass in the xml with filled values and generate PDF. Assume the XML field values are filled using some XYZ data source.
