Why I cannot process more than 249 files with Action Wizard?

I am trying to have Acrobat's Actions to process a folder with a few thousands of files.

Everytime it hits the file 250, it starts just throwing errors.

The Action I specified converts TIFFs into PDF (opneing them), OCR's them, Preflights them and then saves them as PDF/A-1b.

Does anyone know if there is a processing limit for this type of processing?

Or even better, if someone can tell how I can accomplish this...
