Flash Player upgrade won't install

Adobe Flash Player 11.1.102.55 upgrade does not install on my windows XP computer.  Is the 2.33Ghz requirement is a deal breaker? (my  computer has a 2.0ghz AMD athlon x2 dual core processor)  If so, can I reinstall the older version that I removed based on help instructions?

"an error has occurred in the script on this page" This comes up after the installation doesn't initiate.

the probelm comes up when it tryies to "retrieve the install" with the following under the error message:

Thanks - I was able to install FP11 through the thread/909550 but no audio when I go to play videos.  Any suggestions?
