Okay, fairly simply I'm using Flash MX 2004 (v7.2) and have
used it to draw a piece of vector artwork incorporating a lot of
nice shading and a really beautiful blood-red colour.
I now want to export the image to Photoshop for printing off
in a large size, about 35" x 25" at 250 dpi, that means an image
with dimensions greater than 8000 x 8000. Flash will not allow me
to export this as a bitmap as a result.
So I figured I'd export as illustrator instead, as I've done
this before with little problem with other images.
However, exporting as illustrator, or EPS formats seems to do
so in some screwy colour settings, as my blood red is turned to a
horrible dull faded red/brown colour, destroying my image! Which is
extremely odd as both EPS and illustrator formats should support
Flash's RGB profile quite happily!
What I want to know is either:
- Can a later version of Flash (available for Mac as well)
export this image without these problems?
or (preferably)
- How can I export in v7.2 without ruining my image at the
sizes I require?
It's really horrible to have my image exactly as I want it in
Flash, knowing that with vectors I can scale it to any size, but
not be able to get it out without the result being nothing alike!
