How do I "embed" stamps into the document?

I often add stamps to documents that I have to send to other people.  However, when they print the document, if they don't choose "documents and markups" or "documents and stamps", then the stamps don't show up.  I know I can print the document to the PDF "printer", but that is a hassle because I can't overwrite the document when I print.  I have to name it something else, then change the name. I would think there is a way to "embed" the stamps from within Acrobat Pro X ver 10.1.1.  I don't want to password-protect the document either.

    Yes, you can flatten the pages. To do so you can use the preflight tool or

    the flattenPages() command in JavaScript.

    Flattening in the preflight tool did exactly what I wanted -- thanks!!  I set up an action using the wizard to so I can do it in 1 click.

    OK, now I'm having problems with flattening.  A lot of the time it will shrink my comments when flattening.  Sometimes not, but most of teh time it does.
